Decentralized Access Control Tools
Token- or credential-gated permissions without a central admin panel.
Directly related. Authority in Decentralized.Host is a chain of Ed25519-signed capability blocks: root to member, member to a per-assignment capability bound to one host, generation, digest and resource ceilings, and read/write/admin operator sessions that expire. Each block can only narrow what the previous one allowed.
What this covers
A central admin panel model has one party (a company's backend) deciding who can do what, checked against its own database on every request. Decentralized access control instead encodes permission into something the requester can prove cryptographically -- holding a specific NFT unlocks a Discord role, holding a DAO governance token unlocks a voting right, a signed credential proves you're a verified member of some group -- without any central party approving the check at request time. The permission logic itself usually still lives somewhere centralized (a smart contract, which IS a form of centralization even if not corporate-owned), but no single company's database is the source of truth for who's allowed in.
