Node Management Tools

Running and maintaining blockchain full nodes or validators.

Last updated: September 3, 2026
Doesn't connect to Decentralized.Host

Different kind of node. Decentralized.Host 'hosts' run application workloads; they are not blockchain nodes, and the system runs no blockchain.

A genuine, important naming collision

This pillar's topic -- running a blockchain full node or validator (syncing and verifying the entire chain state, or actively participating in consensus and earning rewards for it) -- is a completely different thing from what "host" or "node" means in Decentralized.Host, where it is a machine that runs application workloads. Blockchain node operation typically means real hardware requirements (fast SSD, meaningful bandwidth for chain sync), meaningful uptime commitments, and for a validator, real slashing risk if you misbehave or go offline at the wrong time.
