Use Cases
What Decentralized.Host is appropriate for today.
See /features/ for what is verified, limited and missing. Honestly, today's use case is evaluation and validation, not production hosting.
Appropriate today
Evaluating the architecture on your own machine; studying or re-implementing the dh/v1 protocol against its conformance vectors; running validation on your own Linux hardware and contributing the evidence; experiments where hosts must be able to refuse a coordinator.
Not appropriate yet
Production workloads. Multi-machine, WAN and NAT behaviour, public ACME, long-duration operation and upgrades have not been validated, and there has been no external security review. The process runtime does not enforce CPU or memory limits.
